Developing a school culture where Learners are free to be creative, confident to make decisions, independent lifelong learners and adaptable to be successful.

At Springs E Academy, policies are developed to give effect to the intended objectives of the school’s vision and mission statements. The organisational operations of the school are described in the policies to ensure achievement of educational purposes for which the school was established. The Academy is established as a combined school from Grade RRR to 12 and all policies apply to the whole school.

Language of Learning and Teaching

Springs E Academy’s language of learning and teaching is English as per the Language Policy. First Additional Languages approved in the school are Afrikaans, isiZulu and Sepedi. The school upholds 50% as acceptable pass mark in all learning and teaching areas.

Admission

Springs E Academy is an independent fee-paying school. Final placement of learners is offered on a “first come, first served” basis. Academy is not prohibited from administering admission tests and other learner intake assessments on the learner’s general behaviour/conduct.

Academic maturity - the demonstrated ability to perform, achieve, and/or excel in scholastic activities
Moral maturity - ability to make responsible decisions, be a person of integrity and leading by example.
Personal maturity - ability to demonstrate self-discipline, be trustworthy, truthful and reliable.
Economic maturity - ability to hold adult job, manage business and handle money responsibly.
Social maturity - ability to make meaningful contribution to society and respect others.
Physical maturityability to work, be employable and be a gainful employee.
Constitutional maturity - knowledgeable enough to promote human dignity, the achievement of equality, non-racialism and the rule of law etc.
